Midwest Railway Preservation Society

In the middle of a CSX freight yard in Cleveland, OH stands a roundhouse built by the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. This is the home of the Midwest Railway Preservation Society.

    Alco RS-3 #123 built in 1950 for the Oliver Mining Company. This engine has traveled far and wide and was one of the first engines used on the preserved Lorain & West Virginia Railway. Some of the original paint can be seen on the radiator grill.

    Grand Trunk Western 4070 was built by the American Locomotive Company in 1918. It is USRA Standard Light Mikado 2-8-2. The engine led an active life hauling freight and it served as the backup engine for Grand Trunk Western 6325 when it hauled Truman's campaign train. It appeared in the film "The Natural." It also opened the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad
