Return of Western Maryland 1309 - Day 1
Chesapeake & Ohio class H6 2-6-6-2 #1309 was the last steam locomotive built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1949. In 2014, the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad took it out of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Museum replace the aging #734. Trains Magazine arranged the Return of 1309 photo charter to celebrate. On the first night of the event, 1309 hauled it first revenue run between Cumberland and Frostburg, Maryland.
