Steam in the Valley 2017

Once again the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad played host to the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society's Nickel Plate Road 765. An S2 class 2-8-4 Berkshire-type steam locomotive built by the Lima Locomotive Works in 1944.

Shortly before the 2017 excursions began, steam preservationist and founder of the Ohio Central Railroad Jerry Joe Jacobson passed away. In memoriam, the 765 crew added his name to the cab sides.
